Marianna Sédéfian is a Partner in Trinity International AARPI (Trinity Paris). Prior to joining Trinity Paris in 2019, Marianna was a counsel in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance group of the Paris office of White & Case.  She started her career with White & Case in 2006 and was promoted to Counsel in 2014.

Marianna has a vast experience assisting banks, French and foreign credit institutions and advising national and international sponsors on their project financing transactions (notably in France and in Africa), generally based on PPP, concession agreements, BOT or similar agreements.

Marianna’s practice is very diverse and spans several industries, including power, renewables, mining, industrials and infrastructure.

Her deals involve advising banks/commercial lenders, international financial institutions, sponsors and corporates.  She brings to the clients particular strengths in all aspects of the structuring and financing of major infrastructure, industrial and energy projects, as well as their corporate law specificities.  Her practice has a focus on the financing aspects of complex multi-sourced transactions in emerging markets as well as the implementation of innovative financing products in France.

Alongside these skills, Marianna has a deep knowledge of the African OHADA law, allowing her to give advice to her clients on their investments and project financings in Africa.

Marianna has acted for Eiffage, as a sponsor in relation to their motorway infrastructure financing in Dakar (Senegal) (first toll-road in West Francophone Africa). She also represented the lenders for the financing of a toll bridge in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) under a concession scheme with a debt and equity coverage from MIGA.  Marianna has also worked on numerous power and water projects, renewable energy, mining and industrial transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa as well as on wind, water and petrochemicals projects in Northern Africa (Algeria and Morocco).

Marianna is admitted to the Paris Bar and received Master in International Business Law (DJCE) from the Business Law Institute Aix-en-Provence. Marianna is a native Armenian and French speaker and speaks fluent English. She speaks also Russian and Spanish.
