Florian Quintard is a dual-qualified English solicitor and French avocat. Florian has over 17 years’ experience in international arbitration and dispute resolution. He advises on commercial and investor-state arbitration, with a focus on the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Before joining Trinity in 2025, Florian was a partner at Pinsent Masons where he set up and headed the Paris Arbitration team for four years. Previously, Florian was a member of the top tier arbitration teams of White & Case (Paris) and Allen & Overy (London/Abu Dhabi).

Florian has resolved complex cross-border disputes across the globe and has represented a wide range of clients, from governments to large corporations, in arbitrations under most of the major institutional rules as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. In his prior firms, Florian has worked on groundbreaking matters such as the Commisimpex case before the ICC, the Finnish EPR and Algerian East-West Highway arbitrations (both multi-billion euro construction “mega-arbitrations”), the Vigotop v Hungary case (ICSID Arb/11/22), and two ICC Treaty-based arbitrations for Libya against Turkish investors.

Florian also has a vast experience in pre-arbitration work and dispute avoidance: Florian has advised clients in multi-billion euro advisory work, leading to favourable settlements. On top of this, Florian has represented contractors in all phases of classic multi-tier dispute resolution clauses, including dispute boards, mediation, expertise, etc.

Florian has received arbitral appointments from the ICC and the LCIA in both English law and French law-governed arbitrations.

Florian has taught English law at the Ecole Française du Barreau and Arbitration law at Nanterre Université, Université de Lorraine and at the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies in Strasburg.
