  • Advising the project company with respect to a 7.5MW solar PV plant in Burundi (the first private IPP in Burundi)
  • Representing a lender providing finance to a UK renewable energy company to enable the development of a large wind farm in South America – Brazil
  • Advising senior lenders in relation to the financing of the acquisition of an equity stake in a gas pipeline project – South Africa
  • Acting for European Investment Bank in respect of the financing arrangements for the expansion of an upstream gas processing facility – Mozambique
  • Acting for the Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd and other lenders in respect of the project financing of a cellular operator – Zambia
  • Acting for Scatec, Norfund and EDM in relation to a 40MW solar plant, the first large scale solar plant in Mozambique
  • Acting for sponsors of the 459MW gas-fired Azura-Edo independent power project – Nigeria (IJ Global Best Multisourced Financing (Africa) 2015)
  • Advising sponsors in relation to the 340MW ($900m) Cenpower power plant – Ghana (Project Finance International African Power Deal of the Year 2014
  • Representing sponsors in relation to the development and financing of a 500MW+ geothermal power project –  Ethiopia
  • Acting for African Development Bank, European Investment Bank, FMO, DEG, PTA Bank, East African Development Bank, OPIC, EKF, The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and Nedbank Capital Limited in relation to the €623m financing of a 300MW wind farm – Kenya (Project Finance International African Renewables Deal of the Year 2014 and IJ Global Europe & Africa Renewables Deal of the Year 2014)
