His sector experience covers power, pipelines, hotels, ports, other transport infrastructure, manufacturing and retail. Tom enjoys an excellent reputation in Washington, D.C. and has strong relationships with the agencies based there that are active in financing global projects, including the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, Export-Import Bank of the United States and the US Department of Energy. Tom holds a JD degree from Harvard Law School.
“Tom is highly regarded for handling international project finance deals in a wide range of emerging market jurisdictions, including across Latin America, Africa, South-East and Eastern Asia, Turkey and the Middle East.” says partner Kaushik Ray, who is co-ordinating the efforts for the launch. He continues: “Tom’s combination of skills, network and experience will hugely benefit our global client base. Tom joining Trinity gives us a firm footing in D.C., which remains one of the largest and most important centres for global project finance.” Senior partner Paul Biggs adds: “Given our existing breadth and depth of practice, we are hoping to capitalise on increased financing for infrastructure transactions made available by the US Government under the BUILD Act and under new and prioritised initiatives from the World Bank Group. Being in D.C. allows us to be close to the decision-makers at those agencies and institutions.”
