Adekanmi Lawson is a Senior Associate with Trinity International LLP.
Kanmi trained and qualified as a solicitor at Linklaters LLP and was a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills in the the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure team, prior to joining Trinity. Kanmi has a wide range of experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer on single and multi-jurisdictional acquisitions and disposals (including comprehensive buyer/seller due diligence, transaction implementation and ancillary joint venture and other shareholder arrangements) to international investors throughout Africa in the power, oil and gas, infrastructure, transport, mining and telecommunications sectors.
Kamni has advised on transactions including ENGIE’s potential US$ 3.9 billion sale of its exploration and production business to Neptune Oil & Gas; South Atlantic Petroleum Limited (SAPETRO) on its purchase of a 50% participating interest in an oil & gas concession offshore Guinea from Hyperdynamics Corporation; Mitsui on its acquisition of an interest in the Moatize coal mine and the adjoining Nacala Infrastructure Corridor in Mozambique; SubSea7 on the local content regulations applicable to oil services companies in Nigeria.
Kanmi is admitted as an Avocat au barreau de Paris (October 2017) and as a Solicitor of England and Wales (September 2009).
